Holly Ferguson is a mother, author, and the founder of Healing Haven Living. After the loss of her husband, she began raising her son while navigating grief and searching for deeper support, stability, and connection.
Her lived experience, combined with a background in real estate and a passion for community healing, inspired her work supporting families moving through life after loss. Holly believes that while grief reshapes life, it doesn’t have to be faced alone—and that healing is strongest when rooted in compassion, intention, and shared understanding.

The goal of Healing Haven Living is to support grieving families who are navigating life after the loss of a primary caregiver creating intentional communities rooted in compassion, stability, and connection. To provide a supportive environment where solo parents/primary caregivers are not carrying everything alone and where children are guided in developing life skills such as communication, emotional awareness, responsibility, and resilience. Through shared resources, education, and community support, families are able to parent, work, and grieve simultaneously—without isolation. This model is designed to grow and scale, allowing collaboration, shared wisdom, and collective strength to uplift both parents and children through every stage of healing.

Our vision is a welcoming community that feels both restorative and alive—one that blends nature, thoughtful design, and human connection. Homes are intentionally sized, offering both independence and belonging. Common areas encourage movement, creativity, reflection, and togetherness (yet families have their independence too). This is not an isolated community, but one fully integrated into the surrounding town—schools, services, and everyday life—while offering something deeply rare: a nurturing environment where grieving families can heal and grow.

Purchased for my aunt who lost my uncle suddenly. Extremely helpful understanding everyone’s grief from self to community.
And moving forward is different for everyone and patience on both sides is key! Definitely a must read to anyone struggling with life, love and loss!!

I lost my father when I was still so young, and reading Life, Love, & Loss felt like someone was sitting beside me, speaking gently and honestly almost like a friend who understands without needing explanation.
Every word in this book felt comforting, familiar, and so thoughtfully written. It reminded me that even years later, grief still needs space… and healing still deserves kindness.

I found Holly Ferguson's book, Love, Life, & Loss very helpful. She emphasizes that there's no one way to grieve, but she also encourages a person, who is experiencing grief, to feel the pain. As she points out it doesn't help to try to avoid the pain. Rather it helps to face it and feel it.
She also talks about feelings of guilt. Sooften after a loss, one thinks, "I should have done more, or I should have listened more, or ... Guilt can be part of the grieving experience.
